Kente cloth was first woven in Bonwire, a small village located outside of Kumase in Ghana. Fashioned after the design of a spider weaving its' web, Kente cloth is delicately woven by hand and is the result of countless hours of continuous crafting. Compromising of unique designs and vibrant colors, Kente cloth is a ceremonial material that is often worn during festivals, weddings and other various celebrations. Kente cloth is used very extensively to represent the traditional dress of the country of Ghana.

This beautiful Kente cloth is hand-woven entirely from silk. Infused with exciting patterns and brilliant hues of yellow and green, this silk Kente cloth is filled with the spiritual influences and heritage that has made Kente a cultural asset in Africa for centuries. This silk Kente cloth can be used to sew any fashionable dress or to add an ethnic touch to home decor. The creative possibilities for using this material are endless.

The Adwen Asa Silk Kente Cloth comes in two pieces of material. Each piece has a width of 50 inches (127cm) and a length of 82 inches (208cm), for a combined measurement of 100x164 inches (254cmx416.5cm). The total weight for both Kente pieces is approximately 7.7 pounds (3.5kg).

The product weight, color and size may vary slightly from the stated information since these items are uniquely handcrafted resulting in minor inconsistencies.

CONTENTS: Two strips of Adwen Asa Silk Kente Cloth arrives packaged in a secure shipping carton direct from Ghana.
